DRIFT at the Lowry on Tuesday was a fantastic experience. Emmy of Meraki Collective produced a wonderful evening in collaboration with VAM and Test Card, and we were hugely impressed by Jade Parker, Howl Creative and React (Sean Clarke and Dubonautik). It was a great opportunity for us to test and reset our material for a (huge) theatrical setting, borrowing from the Paris performance as well as the festival version. We also had the use of head mics for the first time which allowed us to incorporate a different tonal range in our handling of voice. A very satisfying and exciting way to end our tour!
Review by Peter Jacobs here. Note an extraordinary typo which describes us as delivering ‘live poverty and movement’! We apologize if anyone was unduly impoverished as a result of our performance!
